Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting exceptional students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford. The oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world, the Rhodes aims to nurture public-spirited leaders for the world’s future. The scholarships cover all University of Oxford fees along with a stipend for living expenses and airfare.

Rhodes Scholars have gone on to become Pulitzer Prize winners, heads of state or government, and Nobel Laureates. Over the past 20 years, 31 University of Toronto students have been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.

Eligibility

Review the eligibility and selection criteria for Rhodes Scholarships on the Rhodes Scholarship website. Each applicant may apply to only one Rhodes Scholarship competition in a given year.

These students will be invited to participate in U of T’s internal selection process, according to the following timelines. Note that students invited to participate in the selection process will be provided with detailed application instructions.
