Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)
To receive a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL), you will need to do the following:
- Accept your offer of admission
- Pay the admission deposit (if applicable):
- Undergraduate and professional programs: Pay the admission deposit as outlined in your offer of admission
- Graduate programs: Please refer to your offer of admission/graduate program office to verify if an admission deposit is required.
Once you have accepted the offer of admission and paid the admission deposit (if applicable), the University will request a PAL on your behalf. Once it is received by the University of Toronto, you will receive an email notification when your PAL is available. It can take up to 7-10 business days from making your admission deposit payment to receiving notification of your PAL. You can then download/obtain it from the following locations:
- Direct-entry undergraduate programs: Join U of T Applicant Portal
- Second-entry or pathway programs: See your faculty/program office for additional information
- Graduate programs: GradApp Status Portal
- Toronto School of Theology (TST): your registrar’s office will send it to the email address provided in your application
The admissions deposit payment will be applied to your student account as a payment toward your tuition fees. Admission deposits are non-refundable.
