Ordering a Transcript on Behalf of a Student
Third parties (e.g., sponsors, employers) who require a copy of a student’s official transcript can order an official eTranscript on behalf of a student or alumnus through the Parchment platform.
Before Ordering a Transcript
Please note: if you are seeking additional information beyond the official transcript, please contact the student’s or alumnus’s divisional registrar’s office directly.
Are you looking to order your own transcript?
This page is specifically for third-party ordering. If you are looking to order your transcript, please follow the instructions on the Ordering a Transcript page.
U of T Third-Party Authorization Consent Form
In order to release an eTranscript, the student or alumnus must provide the third party with a completed U of T Third-Party Authorization Consent form and include a scan of their valid government photo identification. Orders without the completed consent form will not be processed.
Government-Issued Photo Identification
Please attach the student’s valid government-issued photo identification either in the space provided on the form or as a second page in your upload (maximum file size is 2MB). Using Adobe Reader, click on the image section of the form to attach the image digitally.

The following identity documents are accepted, so long as they are (a) valid (i.e., original and not expired) and (b) contain a photo that is no more than five years old:
- Passport
- Canadian Citizenship Card with photo
- Canadian Driver’s License
- Provincial Photo Card

After Ordering a Transcript
eTranscript orders are typically completed within 30 minutes. After placing your order, ensure that you receive the email notification from Parchment. Check your spam or junk folder if this is not in your inbox. Review the process for how to order an eTranscript on behalf of a student, how to download and verify the eTranscript, and expiration date, retention and refund information.
eTranscripts are typically processed and delivered within half an hour. Any transcripts containing academic activities prior to September of 1998 may add two or more business days to process. Transcripts placed on a restrictive hold (e.g., financial hold) will not be processed until the hold has been resolved by the student or alumnus.

The email from noreply@parchment.com will have the subject line “You’ve Received A Document”.
Recipients have 30 calendar days to access the transcript using the secure download link provided in the email.
